Billing Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 1 June 2026

These Billing Terms describe how we accept payment, the currency we use, how VAT is applied, and how our payment processor handles your card details. They form part of our Terms of Service.

01Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods at checkout, all processed through our payment partner, Stripe:

  • Visa (credit, debit, and prepaid cards)
  • Mastercard (credit, debit, and prepaid cards)
  • American Express
  • Apple Pay on supported devices

We do not currently accept cheques, bank transfers, cash on delivery, or cryptocurrency. The available payment methods may be limited depending on your billing country and device.

02Currency

All prices and charges on the Site are displayed and processed in pounds sterling (GBP, £). If your card is issued in another currency, your bank or card issuer may apply a foreign exchange rate and a non-sterling transaction fee. We are not responsible for any such third-party fees or exchange-rate differences.

03VAT

GMC Shop Ltd is registered for UK Value Added Tax under VAT number GB000000000. All listed prices are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing standard rate (currently 20%). A VAT receipt is included with every dispatch confirmation email. If you require a separate VAT invoice for business purposes, please contact billing@gmcshop.co.uk with your order number.

04Stripe as Payment Processor

Card and wallet payments are processed by Stripe Payments UK, Ltd ("Stripe"), an authorised payment institution regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Stripe is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the highest standard of payment-card security.

Your card details are submitted directly to Stripe through an encrypted channel and are never stored on our servers. By submitting a payment, you also agree to Stripe's terms, which are available at stripe.com/gb/legal.

05Authorisation & Charges

When you submit an order, we obtain an authorisation from your card issuer for the full order amount. The actual charge is taken when the order (or part of it, for split shipments) is dispatched.

For pre-orders or back-ordered items, you will be notified before any charge is taken. If we are unable to fulfil part of your order, the corresponding authorisation will be released, and only the dispatched items will be charged.

06Failed Payments

If a payment is declined, your order will not be processed and no contract is formed. Common reasons for declined payments include insufficient funds, expired cards, incorrect billing information, or a 3-D Secure authentication failure.

You may retry the payment with the same or a different method. If you continue to experience issues, please contact your card issuer in the first instance. We are unable to override decisions made by your bank.

07Fraud Prevention

All transactions are screened by Stripe Radar, an automated fraud prevention system that uses machine learning to identify suspicious activity. Higher-risk transactions may require additional verification under the Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) rules of PSD2. We reserve the right to cancel or refund orders we reasonably suspect of being fraudulent, and to report suspected fraud to law enforcement and relevant industry bodies.

08Refunds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. Once approved, refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer. Full details are set out in our Refund & Return Policy.
